Terrorism and computer technology

It is true that a lot of innocent people die by the actions of terrorists. It is terrible; terrorists put hundreds of bombs in cars, shops, and places where politicians or policemen work. They do not mind if many people die. They can remotely detonate explosives thanks to technology.

Terrorists are people with serious problems, and they need psychological therapy because they are ill. They think they kill people to defend their ideas but they are wrong. Nobody can think that killing innocent people is a way of achieving their objectives because their hands are full of blood.

All of us must face terrorism. In Spain, we know it very well. Terrorism is a kind of crime which affects our society as a whole because the important thing is not the crime itself but the insecurity in our society.

Anyway it is not ethic kill people.

In addition, developing technology causes arising of a new kind of terrorism whose name is "hackers". They can access any computer via the network.

Composition about Google

A few years ago, people used to use Encyclopedias or dictionaries when they need to look up some information; but nowadays it is more comfortable, faster and easier open an internet browser to find this information. When you open one of the most popular internet browsers, like Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, it will usually appear Google at home page.

Google’s name comes from Googol whose term was coined in 1938. It is said that Google was a misspelling of the word Googol made by founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page. They chose this name because it represents the digit 1 followed by one hundred zeros. This one was compared with a large number of information which exists on Internet; this is the reason why they chose it.

Google Company has a lot of applications: Gmail (electronic mail), Google Earth (virtual Earth maps), Youtube (video-sharing website), Calendar (free time-management web application), Blogger (blog-publishing service) …

In my view, Google applications are useful. I like it very much, as you can see, I am using blogger to post my English exercises.

Why Blogger?

Blogger allows me to post iframe embedded code which I could not post in other blogs. I was disappointed with WordPress which was my first option.

Some Google advantages are: intuitive, useful, varied applications, free, accessible to all…

The biggest drawback of using Google is that not always is reliable because you have to contrast the information.

My ideas about computer technology and English:

Hi, this is my first post and I am going to write about Technology and English. I think that learning English is essential because you need it to be able to read a lot of information nowadays. Always that you need to look up some information or instructions in a handbook your will find it in English because is the most extended language of the world. If you need a new scientific article or visiting a technology website, it will happen again.

 Currently, computers are present everywhere. At schools students use to learn how to use it since they were children. In my case, I am studying at University. I use computers everyday because I am studying computer engineering. Learning English is essential for me because I usually need it to make applications or do my homework and projects.

In conclusion, technology on Internet applied is very useful to improve your English because you can find some websites like WordReference and online courses like busuu.
